We’ve waited to be attended by a doctor for 7 hours and the stuff was telling us “it’s normal”. The staff took it very seriously and many time I went to Emergency for suicidal thoughts and was taken in immediately. Only one nurse seemed to think I was not worth it and stabbed me very hard with a drip needle. I slept one night in the psych ward and everyone was very kind. I had treatment for years there before we moved and the psychologist and psychiatrist were both wonderful. I would advise that you call before your scheduled psych appointments, as there were some changes in schedules and I sometimes went there and my psychiatrist was on duty in the emergency ward.
